Paul is the strong silent type preferring action to words. International road racer that he is, having raced in the Thai national championship on a VFR400 NC30. On his return to the U.K he raced a TL1000-S in the Sound of Thunder series and dabbled in 125's and Early stocks on a RD400E. Despite this success plus off road experience in Morocco on a Honda XR400 he rarely talks about it. Starting out in the trade as a technician around sixteen years ago (yes we know he doesn't look old enough) there is not much you can teach him about motorcycles. Now co-owner of Grays Motorcycle Centre he prides himself on his efficiency and knowledge. Often likened to a English Jean Reno from the film Leon, he has an interesting line in hats.
Then we come to the other half of the dynamic duo and a legend in his own lunchtime (don't mention food). Ian is the opposite of Paul and if you get him on the subject of the good old days of racing it can be hard to shut him up! Testament to the old adage The older I get the faster I was Ian has also had about 16 years of experience in the motorcycle trade with the past 13 years spent managing Grays motorcycles. Also coming from a background in racing Ian has had a keen interest in motorcycling since his first NSU Quickly at the age of nine. Likes to think of himself as a tubby Simon Cowl.
